RRF Aircraft
The Rock River Flyers own two hangars at the Ogle County Airport. One hangar is the home of the RRF Cessna 172 E airplane and the other hangar is utilized for equipment storage/event hosting. The RRF also lease an Aeronca 7AC "Champ" airplane and a Cessna 150M from Graden Aviation, which is also located at the same airport.
AERONCA 7AC "CHAMP"
The "Champ" is a yellow and orange tandem two seated airplane owned by the Rock River Flyers. This airplane is the primary training plane used for beginners and the Young Eagle program. With the wheel in the rear it is also used for tail-wheel endorsements. |
The "Champ" has white skies (as shown in the picture above) that can be put on for the snowy winter months. This provides individuals the opportunity to fly year round!
